Working as part of the Infrastructure Project team, you'll contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of highly available network services, supporting both operational excellence and strategic projects. With a strong foundation in enterprise networking and a proactive, detail-oriented approach, you will bring both technical expertise and leadership capability to UQ's Infrastructure Project team.You will bring:* A degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.* Proven experience delivering large-scale networking uplift and replacement programs in enterprise environments.* Exposure to Software Defined Networking technologies (e.g., Cisco SDA, DNAC, ACI, or similar).* Advanced skills in analysis, design, operation, and maintenance of network and communications infrastructure (e.g., BGP, MPLS, wireless LANs, IP Telephony, disaster recovery).* Experience with scripting (e.g., Python, NodeJS, PHP) to achieve network automation.* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.* Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities with attention to detail.* Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding decision-making within project teams.* (Desirable) Industry certifications such as CCNA or CCNP, plus exposure to cloud, storage, firewalls, ITIL, or service management frameworks.The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, etc.You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
