Description
We are seeking a proactive and innovative GIS Administrator to join our team. This role focuses on providing spatial design services and GIS solutions, utilizing applications such as ESRI and FME. The GIS Administrator will play a crucial role in developing and implementing spatial business solutions, ensuring data integrity, supporting various spatial projects, and providing day‐to‐day GIS systems support.
About The Role
Work both independently and as part of a hard‐working team to achieve timely outcomes on an exciting range of projects.
* Design and maintain geospatial systems infrastructure
* Install and configure GIS software, hardware, and peripherals
* Develop scripts, databases, and applications to automate geospatial tasks
* Analyze data and produce maps, reports, and other visualisations
* Create and maintain metadata for geospatial datasets
* Fulfill map and data requests
* Ensure data integrity and support spatial projects
* Conduct geographical analysis
* Coordinate the collection, analysis, and dissemination of geospatial data

* Maximum‐term contract up to 16 months, with possibility of extension or permanency based on performance, funding and operational need
* Base salary ranging from $84,316 per annum with competency‐based increments up to $99,874 per annum, plus 12% super
* 70‐hour, 9‐day fortnight schedule

We Are Seeking
* Tertiary qualification in spatial information science or related discipline and/or 3+ years of demonstrated experience in GIS roles with proven ability to deliver position requirements
* Experience with the ArcGIS suite of applications: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online (including ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Experience Builder / Web App Builder)
* Technical capabilities and competency with spatial database administration using FME, SQL query tools, Oracle Database, Technology One CiA
* Thorough understanding of spatial analysis, spatial database design and map production (creation, manipulation, analysis, geoprocessing, cartographic design skills)
* Proven organisational and time‐management abilities in managing large‐scale, multi‐year geospatial projects, ensuring on‐time and within‐budget delivery while collaborating with cross‐functional teams
