Trades Assistant (Floor Sanding Offsider)
Electrodry is seeking a reliable and hardworking Trades Assistant to join our WA team as a Floor Sanding Offsider. This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated and reliable individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to supporting high-quality wood floor sanding and refinishing projects. If you enjoy practical work, being part of a team, and building valuable trade skills, this is an excellent opportunity to establish a long-term career.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with floor sanding and refinishing projects
* Preparing job sites (moving furniture, setting up equipment, protecting surfaces)
* Operating and handling sanding equipment (once trained)
* Assisting with the preparation and application of finishes under supervision
* Working with Electrodry technicians performing a range of other services as required
* Cleaning and maintaining equipment
* Supporting technicians to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard
* Providing professional and courteous customer service on site
This is a physically active role suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in quality workmanship.
What We're Looking For
* A strong work ethic and dependable attitude
* Physical fitness and comfort with manual labour
* The ability to work effectively within a team
* Willingness to take direction and learn new skills
* Attention to detail and pride in completing tasks thoroughly
* Experience in carpentry, flooring, construction, landscaping, or general labouring is highly regarded, though not essential. We value attitude and reliability above all.
* No prior floor sanding experience is required.
* Electrodry provides full training from commencement, with opportunities to develop into specialist service roles and leadership/operational positions
