This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The Role

Kelmscott SHS is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Specialist/ Arts Teacher to join our dynamic Arts Learning Area. This role offers the opportunity to teach across Years 7–12, with a strong focus on Drama, while also delivering engaging Visual Arts programs.
The successful applicant will ideally:

- Have expertise in teaching Drama, with the ability to inspire students in performance, production, and theatre studies.
- Possess the skills and flexibility to teach Visual Arts and foster artistic creativity.
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality learning experiences aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
- Differentiate teaching strategies to cater for diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

Eligibility

- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
