About the Role
The Head, Curriculum Design is responsible for leading and stewarding the University's course-level curriculum architecture and for establishing, operating and assuring the design system through which all courses are structured, aligned, quality assured and prepared for production.
The role provides institutional leadership in curriculum architecture, ensuring that academic intent is translated into coherent, high-quality course designs that are pedagogically sound, structurally robust and ready for delivery.
The Head, Curriculum Design is accountable for the integrity of the course design system and for the consistent application of design standards, methods and quality thresholds across all faculties.
About You
As the Head of Curriculum Design, you will have:
1. Demonstrated ability to lead curriculum architecture and design systems at scale within a complex, multi-faculty university environment.
2. Proven capacity to exercise professional authority and judgement in academic settings, with the credibility to lead senior academics in course-level design decisions.
3. Ability to lead teams as production units, setting clear standards, expectations and quality thresholds.
4. Strong working knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF), AQF and relevant accreditation requirements.
5. Demonstrated experience establishing or operating curriculum design frameworks, systems or methodologies at institutional scale.
6. Proven track record of translating academic intent into coherent, structured and defensible course architectures.
Remuneration
A competitive and comprehensive remuneration package will be offered.
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for two years.
