Glasshouse Christian College invites applications for a full-time Secondary Industrial Technology Teacher beginning January 2026. This is a continuing/ongoing position.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Industrial Technology Teacher who can actively support and uphold the values and Christian ethos of the College. This position is an exciting opportunity for an educator who thrives on delivering hands-on learning experiences and inspiring students to develop technical, problem-solving, and design skills.

The successful candidate will teach across a range of Industrial Technology subjects, including (but not limited to) woodwork, metalwork, engineering, design, and emerging technologies. You will create safe, engaging, and student-centred lessons that prepare learners for future pathways in trade, design, and technology-related industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Industrial Technology lessons aligned with curriculum requirements.
- Ensure a safe and productive workshop environment.
- Support students in developing practical, technical, and design-thinking skills.
- Contribute to the broader school community through co-curricular activities, events, and team collaboration.
- Inspire students to pursue excellence and build confidence in their abilities.

About You

- Relevant tertiary teaching qualification with a focus in Industrial Technology (wood, metal, engineering, or related).
- Current teaching accreditation/registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
- Strong classroom management and the ability to engage a diverse range of learners.
- A collaborative, flexible, and student-focused teaching approach.
