Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, mortgage operations, credit/risk, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, process flows, data models, and user stories.
- Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Analyze existing mortgage systems, identify gaps, and recommend solutions for process improvements and automation.
- Support system design, integration, and implementation of mortgage platforms, LOS (Loan Origination Systems), CRM, and core banking systems.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation including BRDs, FRDs, Use Cases, and data mapping.
- Conduct impact analysis for regulatory and compliance changes related to mortgage lending.
- Partner with QA teams to define test cases, validate solutions, and ensure requirements are met.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and provide end-user training/documentation where necessary.
- Monitor post-implementation performance, resolve issues, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2+ years in the mortgage/home lending industry.
- Strong understanding of mortgage processes (loan origination, servicing, settlement, securitization, compliance).
- Proven ability to create detailed business and technical documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
