About the Role
The Lead Allied Health Physiotherapist at Alwyndor promotes growth, collaboration, and excellence within the allied health community. This role provides professional and clinical leadership to both experienced and new grad Physiotherapists. Ensuring clinical safety, quality continuous improvement in the delivery of effective Physiotherapy Allied Health Services to our ageing community. You will play a crucial role in developing future business processes and will be a leader in your field, exemplifying customer-centric and evidence-based, high-quality services.
This role will also support a reduced case load of clients in improving mobility, assists with pain management, and develops strategies for falls prevention, rehabilitation, education, and holistic care. By focusing on these areas, physiotherapists play a crucial role in helping elderly individuals live more active, independent, and fulfilling lives. Awareness, understanding and practice of ‘Wellness and Reablement Approach’ in all areas of client care.
* Providing clinical leadership to a team of Physiotherapists
* Assessing and managing clients referred for physiotherapy
* Selecting and applying measures of physiotherapy interventions that reflect current best practice
* Liaising with other allied health professionals and stakeholders as required
* Ensuring that written and electronic records are compliant with professional and legal standards
* Delegating appropriate tasks to therapy assistants and monitor that these are performed safely and effectively
* You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
About you
You are a motivated and compassionate physiotherapist with:
* Current AHPRA registration
* A passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life
* Strong clinical skills in physiotherapy assessments and interventions
* Ability to apply best-practice approaches in aged care
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* A commitment to person-centred, culturally safe care
