As the lead Butcher, you will be responsible for the successful operation of your department within this busy supermarket. You will be responsible for leading and developing a small team, ensuring the highest quality of goods are being presented, deliver a high level of customer service, achieve sales target, financial management and ensure a health and safety standards are meet.
**Skills & Experience**
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified butcher is essential
- Previous experience in leading teams
- The ability to train and develop staff
- Have a solid understanding of butcher retailing
- Control department costs such as wastage, wages and other operational costs
- Understanding of local market and seasonal trends
- Understand food safety standards and hold a Food Handling Certificate
- Have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
