Overview
A Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Amazon Web Services leads the success of enterprise support customers, helping them build and operate applications on the AWS cloud. You design support strategies, provide expert advice, and guide customers through all stages of cloud adoption.
Key job responsibilities
* Act as a single point of contact to Enterprise Accounts
* Understand customers' outcomes and business goals
* Recommend AWS service improvements that align with customer strategy and architecture
* Evaluate, analyze, and present periodic operational performance reviews
* Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions and metrics, and plan pre‐launch activities
* Champion and advocate for customer requirements within AWS (e.g., feature requests)
* Participate in customer meetings, onsite or via phone
* Leverage key resolution tools across all service groups to facilitate rapid issue resolution
* Share knowledge and innovate with leading technologists worldwide
* Work directly with AWS engineers to ensure customer issues are resolved expediently
* Plan and execute business‐critical events such as product launches, migrations, and modernizations on AWS
Basic Qualifications
* Experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data, and analytics
* Internal enterprise or external customer‐facing experience with the ability to articulate and present to small and large audiences
* 5+ years in roles such as Senior Technical Consultant, Solutions Architect, IT Manager/Engineer, or similar technical positions
* Demonstrable operational best‐practice guidance experience in two of the following domains: Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, DevOps, Big Data & Analytics, Security, Applications Development
Preferred Qualifications
* BS degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
* Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
* Experience with AWS technologies
* Experience in creating and managing budgets
