 
        
        Seeking an experienced Facilities / Maintenance Officer for a Government team in Northam
**Your new company**
A State Government department located in Northam, is seeking an experience Facilities / Maintenance Officer to commence ASAP on an initial 6-month basis. You will be engaged as a temporary worker through Hays, working full-time hours and on a competitive hourly rate.
**Your new role**
As the Facilities / Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing asset maintenance activities 
- Carry out minor repairs, adjustments and alterations to facilities and equipment on site including house maintenance, furniture fittings and storage, vehicle recovery equipment and spares 
- Coordinate vehicle cleaning, servicing, maintenance and repairs 
- Administer inventory and annual stocktake for the department 
- Establish and oversee facilities maintenance plans
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be considered you will have demonstrated experience within a maintenance and facilities position, in addition to:
- Excellent organisation and time management skills 
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills 
- Demonstrated understanding of Occupational Health and Safety measures 
- Excellent IT skills
