We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Head of Finance to play a pivotal role in shaping the College's financial future. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will appeal to a strategic finance leader who thrives on impact, innovation, and partnership.
About the Role
As Head of Finance, you will oversee the full financial ecosystem of the College—strategy, planning, compliance, operations, and people leadership. You'll modernise financial systems, deliver insightful analysis, and ensure robust governance to support confident decision‑making across the organisation.
You will lead a committed finance team while working closely with senior leaders, external partners, and internal stakeholders to strengthen the College's financial sustainability and operational effectiveness.
* Develop and drive the College's financial strategy, cashflow planning, and forecasting
* Provide commercially astute advice to the COO and Head of College.
* Build modern financial reporting tools enabling timely, data‑driven decisions.
* Maintain strong financial controls, frameworks, and policy adherence.
* Identify and manage financial and operational risks.
* Lead the annual audit process and compliance reporting.
* Lead and develop the finance team to enhance capability and performance.
* Build strong relationships with banks, auditors, suppliers, and professional advisers.
* Oversee accounts payable, receivables, debt, and payroll functions.
* Champion continuous improvement and digital transformation across finance operations.
About You
You are an experienced finance professional with a strategic mindset and a passion for modernising systems and enabling strong organisational decision‑making. You bring:
* CPA or CA qualification (essential).
* Extensive financial leadership experience, ideally in complex or multi‑stakeholder environments.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Proven experience strengthening governance, risk, and financial stewardship.
* (Desirable) Experience in higher education, NFP, or collegiate settings.
* (Desirable) Experience with Synergetic or similar systems.
