Role Overview
SMP Supervisor (specialising in Rotating Equipment) – responsible for overseeing and supervising the installation, operation and maintenance of rotating equipment (particularly turbines) on the CERES urea plant project in Karratha, WA. The role reports to the Construction Manager and requires a 19:9 rotation to site.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of rotating equipment installations.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
* Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring high performance and effective teamwork.
* Monitor progress and troubleshoot issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
* Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure optimal standards.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and labour teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines.
Key Requirements
* Ability to work on a 19:9 rotation to site (Karratha).
* Proven experience supervising SMP projects, preferably in oil, gas, or construction industries.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* In‐depth knowledge of SMP systems, safety protocols, and industry standards.
* Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively under pressure.
* Proactive attitude with excellent organisational skills.
* 10+ years of supervisory experience.
