Overview
The Paediatrics Department at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is entering an exciting phase of expansion and is now seeking to appoint 2 permanent full‐time Staff Specialists to join its team. Armidale Rural Referral Hospital is a Level 4 Paediatric Unit with 8 inpatient beds for children and young people up to 18 years of age and a 2‐bed special care nursery, supporting a Level 4 maternity unit with 450 deliveries annually.
Work
As a regional general paediatrician, you will provide comprehensive care across a broad scope, from neonatal care (>34 weeks' gestation) to inpatient care of children and young people up to 18 years, as well as general outpatient practice involving complex medical, behavioural and developmental paediatrics. You will work with a team of three long‐standing paediatricians and increasing junior medical staff support.

You will receive mentoring and support to establish yourself as a key member of the team and develop your own career interests. Academic roles in teaching and research at the School of Rural Medicine, University of New England, may complement your clinical responsibilities.

Salary & Incentives
Be rewarded with up to $10,000 in the first 12 months, plus up to $10,000 each year thereafter in fortnightly payments under the Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
