Diesel Fitters – Workshop & Field Technicians

SMH Equipment is growing and we're seeking proactive, reliable Diesel Fitters to join our team in Mount Isa. Whether you prefer a Monday–Friday workshop role or the adventure of field service on a 7/7 or 8/6 roster, we offer both residential and FIFO options.
THE ROLE:
* Mount Isa based or FIFO available
* Perform scheduled servicing, diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on machinery in workshop or field settings
* Conduct dynamic/static testing and document job details accurately.
* Liaise with internal and external customers on job status and recommendations
* Provide technical support and identify opportunities for improvement
* No Underground/No Labour Hire
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
* Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Current Drivers Licence.
* Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
