Maintenance Fitter – Multiple Shift Patterns (Food Manufacturing)

A global leader in food manufacturing with a strong presence in Australia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their high-performing team at their advanced production facility in West Melbourne.
With
multiple shift patterns available
(day, afternoon, and night), this is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a highly automated environment where you'll play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, safety, and minimising production downtime.

What You'll Be Doing
* Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and responding to reactive breakdowns across a range of mechanical equipment
* Fault finding and repairs on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other automated plant systems
* Supporting machinery upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborating with production and fellow trades to optimise performance and uptime
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records and adhering to strict safety and quality standards
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environments
* Strong mechanical fault-finding ability and confidence working autonomously
* Experience with automated machinery and continuous processing systems
* A proactive team player with a strong safety focus and solid communication skills
* Ability to work on a permanent shift pattern (day/afternoon/night)
