This is a full time position working dayshift 6.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday with the opportunity of overtime.
About the Role
The QA Assistant plays a key role in maintaining product quality, food safety and hygiene standards across the facility.
Working in areas such as the kill floor, offal rooms and cutting rooms, you will carry out meat hygiene assessments, complete quality checks, and support supervisors in addressing any non-conformances.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced processing environment.
Tasks may be repetitive, physically demanding and involve exposure to a range of temperatures, cleaning chemicals and manual handling duties.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct meat hygiene assessments across processing areas
Complete carton meat checks and associated QA documentation
Identify, record and report defects or non-conforming product
Maintain cleanliness, safe work practices and correct PPE usage
Assist supervisors and operators with quality-related issues
Participate in training and maintain required licences/certifications
Report hazards, incidents and near misses as required
About You
Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions
Able to follow procedures and complete documentation accurately
A good communicator who can work well within a team
Willing to learn and open to training
Previous experience in meat processing or quality roles
