PPG is a global manufacturer of paints, coatings, and specialty materials and a Fortune 200 company with headquarters in Pittsburgh and operations in nearly 70 countries around the world. We are currently seeking a Sales Director to join our Automotive Refinish business and provide end-to-end leadership for the Western States region, with accountability for delivering strong commercial performance across a geographically dispersed and diverse market.
The role will work in close conjunction with the Sales Director Eastern and Northern States to ensure alignment with the national strategy while tailoring execution to regional market dynamics.
Responsibilities
* Create and manage a short- and long-term strategy and financial plan to deliver required sales and growth targets for the trade channels across Australia
* Achieve Australian Key Performance Indicators – specifically driving growth of the trade channels
* Oversee budget, forecast, volume, price and profit management
* Lead and coach sales managers through business transition focusing on price discipline and value-based selling
* Introduce effective sales structures and processes
* Develop and foster strategic and senior level working relationships with key Distributors and MSO customers
* Alongside the Sales Managers, oversee contracts and trading term negotiations with key national accounts
Requirements
* Business/commerce degree qualified. Post graduate level desired
* Previous experience and demonstrated strong track record in sales / senior management ideally within the Automotive B2B industry
* Sound commercial acumen with a high level of financial management capability
* The ability to communicate, set and lead strategies
* People development and change management experience
