Advanced Bookkeeping Service & Management – Launceston TAS
Advanced Bookkeeping Service & Management is looking for a new team member. We have a solid base of clients, both local & interstate, for whom we prepare wages, superannuation, Business Activity Statements and other finance projects. We look after accounts receivable & accounts payable, along with data entry & bank reconciliations. Headed up by a qualified accountant & BAS Agent with over 25 years of experience. We use a variety of accounting software (MYOB AccountRight, Xero, Intuit Quickbooks) & other tools to help us complete our work efficiently, accurately & on time.
The position is open to junior entry level or intermediate+ level accounts clerks.
Responsibilities
* Scanning
* Sorting & Naming of electronic files
* Updating basic spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
* Producing basic correspondence in Microsoft Outlook & Word
* Accounts receivable - checking customer payments against customer invoices & drafting invoices for customers
* Accounts payable - checking supplier invoices against end of month statements received, data entry of supplier bills
* Starting at 5 hours per week building to maximum 15 hours per week
* Creating Accounts Payable runs using aba files
* Data entry & reconciliations in relation to producing Business Activity Statements
* Data entry & reconciliations including Balance Sheet workpapers
* Wages & super
* Client contact
* Starting at 10 hours per week building to a maximum of 20 hours per week
Qualifications / Skills
Skills required for this role: Ability to apply consistent principles and methods to transactions/tasks, good memory, quick learner, ability to follow written instructions and follow a weekly task plan, desire & ability to do research/think outside the box a bit at times and show some individual initiative in order to work independently and contribute to finance projects.
Employment Details
Both roles start as casual part time with a view to increase hours over the coming months and permanent position offered to the right candidate. The right candidate may have the opportunity to study an approved & relevant course to assist them in their career advancement.
