Job Description Create your best future and join Westpac as a Talent Segment Lead. As a Talent Segment Lead, you’ll play an enterprise role in ensuring Westpac has the critical skills and talent pipelines required to deliver today's strategy and support future capability needs.

Role Overview You’ll lead the identification, prioritisation and ongoing management of Westpac’s priority talent segments, including critical skill groups, high‑potential cohorts and emerging capability areas.

Using workforce data, market and business insight, you’ll assess where capability gaps and talent risks exist and design practical, targeted approaches to address them.

This role sits across strategy and delivery, working closely with People Partners and business leaders to embed segment strategies into business‑level talent plans while maintaining an enterprise view to support consistency, scale and alignment across the Group.

This is a full‑time role based in Sydney (also open to Melbourne and Brisbane), offering flexible working and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for our people.

Requirements

Experience designing and shaping talent strategies or initiatives within large or complex organisations.

Strong understanding of enterprise talent practices, and experience designing targeted talent solutions that successfully build talent pipelines to address talent risk over the short and long term.

Confidence using workforce data, insights and market intelligence to inform segmentation decisions and prioritisation.

Strong partnering and influencing capability, with experience working closely with People Partners and senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

Benefits

Special offers on banking products and discounts from top brands, including generous employee‑only mortgage rates.

Flexible work arrangements to help you achieve a greater work/life balance, and a variety of leave options including Culture, Lifestyle and Wellbeing leave.

Tailored learning and development opportunities to help you grow your career within the bank.

Lots of opportunities to give back to the community by getting involved in our many volunteering initiatives.

EEO Statement We’re all about creating a supportive and inclusive community. We welcome everyone – no matter your age, gender, background, or abilities. We also provide additional support to welcome our veterans, Indigenous Australians and neurodiverse community. If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, you can find out more information and additional contact details by visiting the People with Disability and/or needing Accessibility Requirements page on our website.
