Support Role
This position is responsible for providing routine assistance to educators, including aiding with planning student schedules and facilitating communication between teachers and parents.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively within a team environment. They will also have the ability to provide basic physical care and wellbeing support for students, such as toileting, meals, and lifting.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing routine support for educators, including assisting with planning student schedules
* Facilitating communication between educators and parents
* Communicating with educators on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities
* Providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students, such as toileting, meals, and lifting
* Communicating with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information
* Addressing immediate behavioral presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure
* Providing basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting
* Supporting educators in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision

An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction.
This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.
