About CCLO Living:

CCLO Living is a non-for-profit charity, established in 1996. We have been assisting people with a disability to live their life to its fullest potential for almost 25 years.

We have grown rapidly over the last years and now have 16 Supported Independent Living (SIL) Accommodation Group Homes through the Central Coast. Along with this core activity we also provide Community Participation & Support Coordination for participants under the NDIS.

Overview of the Role:

The Team Leader plays a key leadership role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Hillview SIL, Woy Woy. Working closely with senior management, this position is responsible for providing guidance, mentoring, and operational support to staff while ensuring high-quality, person-centred supports are delivered to participants in line with the NDIS Practice Standards.

The successful applicant will assist in leading a positive team culture, maintaining staffing continuity, supporting participant outcomes, and ensuring compliance with organisational policies, safety standards, and legislative requirements. This role requires a proactive leader who can confidently step into operational leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Unit Manager, while promoting continuous improvement, staff development, and excellent service delivery

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Staff Management

* Support the Unit Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of the house.

* Provide leadership, mentoring, and ongoing support to staff.

* Conduct regular supervisions, performance appraisals, and contribute to staff development plans.

* Assume team leadership responsibilities when the Unit Manager is on leave.

* Assist with staff inductions to ensure a strong onboarding experience.

* Provide leadership and support to both employees and participants.

Roster & Scheduling

* Collaborate with the rostering team to maintain adequate staff coverage and continuity of care.

Participant Support & Wellbeing

* Ensure participants are supported to achieve their goals under the NDIS framework, promoting independence and quality of life.

* Oversee implementation of person-centred active support.

* Uphold participant rights and ensure all supports are delivered in line with the NDIS Practice Standards.

Safety & Compliance

* Support the Unit Manager in maintaining compliance with CCLO policies and procedures, WHS, EEO, and Anti-Discrimination legislation.

* Coordinate with the Property Team to ensure timely maintenance and a safe, well-maintained environment.

* Implement and monitor safety protocols, conduct emergency drills, and support WHS compliance.

Administration & Financial Support

* Assist the Unit Manager with household-related financial administration tasks.

* Ensure accurate and timely reporting as required by senior management.

Continuous Improvement

* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

* Identify and escalate risks appropriately, using sound judgment and a proactive approach.

Other Duties

* Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by Senior Management in alignment with organisational needs.

* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

* Effective communicator with the ability to write reports, interpret data, and represent CCLO professionally.

* Skilled in decision-making, planning, delegation, and time management.

* Calm, decisive, and responsive in high-pressure situations

Qualifications & Experience Required:

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in the disability or community services sector with strong knowledge of knowledge of ROC and managing rostering.

* Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, Social Work, or equivalent; or willingness to obtain.

* Experience in staff leadership or team coordination preferred.

* Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS Act, Practice Standards, and participant rights.

Mandatory Requirements:

* NDIS Worker Screening Check

* Working with Children Check

* First Aid & CPR Certification

* Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence

Essential Skills:

* Strong written and verbal communication

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

* Excellent time management and organisational skills

* Team-oriented with demonstrated initiative and sound professional judgment

* Commitment to always presenting CCLO professionally
