A unique technical position working with Serco Traffic Camera Services. The role requires strong customer service skills and the technical ability to adapt to a diverse workload. Serco is seeking a Support Technician who wants to utilise and develop their skills and has a desire to learn as part of a team. Road Safety "Camera Car" cars are packed with technology such as Camera, radar, CCTV, modems and computer devices. For this varied role, your skills do not have to be from one specific discipline such as Electronics, I.T. or Automotive. Your qualifications, background and industry experience mean you have the ability to understand multiple platforms and be able to diagnose and resolve issues with different systems used within the vehicle.
- Responsibilities include: _
- Providing troubleshooting over the phone to Mobile Camera operators across Victoria
- Utilising a computer-based ticket system to generate & manage work orders
- Liaising with other technical areas when escalating issues (I.T., Camera System engineers)
- Maintaining accurate records in database of vehicles and system components
- Assisting in maintaining the asset register for vehicles and system components
- Testing Camera control systems as vehicles rotated for servicing/certification
