Associate Building Manager – Full-Time Traineeship
Position Overview:

As a Junior Building Manager, you will receive all the training and support needed to achieve the following tasks – and get paid for it:
Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of managed properties.
Coordinate contractors and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Engage with tenants and stakeholders professionally.
Support building compliance, safety audits, and emergency procedures.
You'll work alongside experienced professionals and be enrolled in a Diploma in Facilities Management, which can be achieved in approximately 3 years. Completing this qualification will open doors to further education opportunities in a variety of trades and specialised building services, giving you a strong foundation for a long-term career in the property industry.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
Assist in daily building operations, including cleaning, security, waste management, gardening, and general maintenance.
Conduct routine inspections of common areas, plant rooms, and building infrastructure to identify issues or risks.
Monitor building systems (HVAC, elevators, lighting, fire safety) and report faults promptly.
Maintenance Coordination
Liaise with contractors and service providers to schedule and supervise maintenance and repair works.
Ensure all works meet safety and compliance standards.
Maintain logs of maintenance activities, service reports, and contractor performance.
Tenant & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a point of contact for tenants regarding building-related concerns or service requests.
Respond to inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
Assist with onboarding new tenants, including building orientation and access setup.
Compliance & Safety
Support compliance with legislation, codes, and standards (fire safety, WHS, environmental).
Participate in emergency drills and maintain emergency documentation.
Assist with risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance reports.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate records of building operations, including incident reports and compliance certificates.

Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
Previous experience in customer service, maintenance, or facilities support.
Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) or work order platforms.
White Card or other relevant safety certifications.
Full Drivers license required.
