**Title: Director of Sales.**
**Location: Australia, Sydney.**
The Director Sales will work closely with Senior Sales Leadership and Corporate
Management, creating and executing strategies and business development efforts to
increase revenue, profitability, growth and predictability of sales in the region. This
individual has the overall responsibility of driving revenue, bookings and customer success
for the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific region in a predictable and profitable manner.
Forecasting demand accurately and setting regional strategy to drive revenue and sales
bookings across water, gas, electricity and smart cities, in addition to driving an increase
in sales conversions.
This role is responsible for ownership of customer relationships and ensuring the delivery
of sold solutions, as well as driving an increase in the quality and value of enterprise solution
sales. Securing device sales and expanding the sale of Smart City solutions.
The Director, Sales will drive the channel partners strategy to identify recent
partners/distributors and develop relationships with existing channel partners and
distributors, drive regional regulatory strategy and rationalise distributor overlap.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Planning, directing, motivating and monitoring sales team activities to maximize sales volume and profit for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
- Responsible for identifying, strategizing, managing, strengthening and growing the market space, closing new business, and maximizing the potential sales volume of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Marketing and Product Management to create and execute sales strategies and business development efforts to increase revenue. Coordinate efforts with sales teams within Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific to meet sales goals.
- Participate and accompany staff on sales calls to client sites, and review and approve selected client communications (e.g., major proposals, direct mail copy, problem resolution correspondence, etc.), maintaining and developing strong relationships with customers.
- Engage in regular Itron internal business review, sales budgets/targets, and responsible for sales forecast.
