Accounting Specialist Role
As a skilled Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional accounting and taxation services to clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing timely and professional accounting advice.
* Prepare financial statements, BAS, and tax returns for companies, trusts, and sole traders.
* Collaborate with bookkeepers, accountants, and client managers to meet client needs.
* Contribute to strategic tax planning and business advisory projects.
* Utilize cloud accounting platforms to streamline processes and enhance client outcomes.
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, preferably with membership (or working towards) CPA, CAANZ or IPA.
* Minimum 2–3 years' experience in public practice, preferably working with small businesses, companies, and trusts.
* Sound understanding of the Australian tax system and accounting standards.
* Proficiency with Xero, Xero Practice Manager or similar cloud-based tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and client education.
* Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple client engagements.
