AML/CTF Compliance Specialist
GFC Australia is responsible for ensuring the business is in compliance with anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing laws and regulations, as well as internal firm-wide policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to daily queries from business units regarding Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Identification Procedures (CIP), and Customer Due Diligence (CDD).
* Conduct reviews and approvals on various requests, including enhanced due diligence, PEP status reviews, and KYC/CDD waivers.
* Coordinate investigative actions and suspicious matter reporting for escalated incidents.
Escalations and Investigations:
* Receive client escalations from business units and coordinate appropriate actions.
* Ensure cases are tracked on relevant registers and systems.
* Escalate positive hits or suspicious matters related to monitoring and screening alerts.
Monitoring and Screening:
* Assist with third-level reviews on screening and monitoring alerts.
* Close alerts in a timely manner or before deadline.
* Identify potential additions to regional heightened supervision lists.
Tracking and Reporting:
* Maintain logs and registers for employee incidents, EDDs, and SMRs.
* Collate metrics and report offshore on a regular basis.
Operational Efficiency:
* Optimize operating procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.
Risk Management:
* Assist in identifying and addressing operational and other ML/TF risks.
Training and Development:
* Deliver training on AML/CTF-related topics to business and support units.
Required skills and qualifications include 4+ years of experience in AML/CTF compliance, working with an AML-regulated financial service provider, CAMS certification, and a university undergraduate degree.
