Admin Grade 1 (HS1 - HS16)
Permanent Part Time
(40 hours per fortnight)
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dedicated team as a Allocations Officer. This permanent part time position is available for an immediate start and includes working weekdays and a weekend each fortnight.Additional hours may be available during peak periods.
The successful applicant will support Nurse Unit Managers and After Hours Co-ordinators to fill absences in clinical areas and weekend coverage.This will also include building rosters for clinical areas in the future.This position is integral to the nursing team, and ensures clerical and administrative support duties are undertaken to achieve timely outcomes relevant to team members and allocation of nursing services staff to clinical areas.
Key Selection Criteria include:
Essential:
1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
2. Demonstrated organisational, planning and prioritising skills
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced high work load environment with the ability to efficiently plan and prioritise workload with conflicting deadlines
4. Ability to maintain high accurate data entry, follow processes with attention to detail
5. Computer skills and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
6. Ability to work within a team environment
7. A commitment and ability to develop new skills and update knowledge
8. Willingness and ability to be enthusiastic, innovative, resourceful and adaptable to change
9. Demonstrated knowledge of confidentiality, privacy and freedom of information legislation
Desirable:
10. Certificate III Business Administration or above
11. Understanding of the Clinical Skill Mix concept
12. Understanding of the importance of managing team members effectively
13. Demonstrated conceptual thinking and ability to problem solve
