Overview
Join a dynamic team and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services for a large local government organisation and the chance to work with TechOne while managing payroll accuracy and compliance. The role provides analytical and technical support to ensure payroll data integrity, compliance, and process efficiency. Working collaboratively with the Payroll Team, HR, and Finance, the Payroll Analyst contributes to continuous improvement and the delivery of a high standard of customer service to all Council employees.
As a Payroll Analyst, you will :
* Process end-to-end payroll in line with legislative and award requirements.
* Conduct reconciliations and audits to ensure data integrity across TechOne and related systems.
* Analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
* Maintain employee records, leave balances, and superannuation details.
* Ensure compliance with PAYG, superannuation, and other relevant legislation.
* Support system upgrades, testing, and award updates.
* Drive continuous improvement for payroll accuracy and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
* Local Government experience is essential.
* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation.
* Experience with TechnologyOne (TechOne) or similar HR / payroll systems.
* Demonstrated ability to manage small projects involving analysis and reconciliation.
* Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Excel.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
