The Brisbane Airport Conference Centre boasts 13 conference and meeting rooms, including a 300 seat pillar-less ballroom, boardrooms, business centre, cloakroom and generous breakout terraces. This Centre will be capable of hosting up to 600 delegates at any one time.
The Brisbane Airport Conference Centre is currently seeking a motivated Part-time or Full-Time Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager**to join our brilliant Conference Centre team.
**Your duties will include but not limited to**:
- Assisting the Conference Centre Manager with day-to-day operations of all Conference Rooms
- Maintain a constant focus on providing excellent guest experience at all times
- Oversee the preparation, planning and execution of all designated events
- Assist the Conference Centre Manager in liaising with clients, assessing their needs, and developing operational strategies to meet those needs
- Lead, mentor and train team members, ensuring a fun and energetic working environment.
- Assist in the recruitment and induction of new team members
- Ensure that team members are briefed on all specials and standard menu items
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance of outlets, work areas, tableware, utensils and other materials and equipment
- Handle any escalated guest complaints
**Who are we looking for?**
- Previous experience in a similar role and are looking to work in a larger operation OR a Team Leader or Supervisor ready for their next step
- Previous experience within a Conference & Hotel environment is preferable,
- Flexible to work variable shifts including early starts, weekends and public holidays
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
- A passion and working knowledge of latest food and wine trends
- Hold a valid RSA & food safety certificate
