Job Opportunity
We are seeking a Solicitor to join our team in Launceston TAS, providing legal services and information to clients and staff of Child and Family Learning Centres.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in family law, family violence, and child safety, with the ability to advocate, negotiate, and liaise effectively in a trauma-informed way.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver timely and responsive legal services and information to clients and staff of Child and Family Learning Centres
* Provide high-quality legal advice, information, referral, and secondary consultation services in relation to matters in both State and Federal jurisdictions
* Work effectively independently and in a team to contribute to the achievement of program objectives
* Develop and co-deliver community legal education activities and resources, training and outreach programmes
* Assist with research, preparation, and presentation of law reform and lobbying submissions
Requirements
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in family law, family violence, and child safety
* Ability to advocate, negotiate, and liaise effectively in a trauma-informed way
* Experience working in an interdisciplinary way with other professionals
* Well-developed organisational and time-management skills
