Job Overview
We are a well-established bathroom products retailer and distributor based in Melbourne.
Due to increased workload, we are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Assistant to join our warehouse team on a part-time basis.
This role is hands-on and labour-focused, suitable for someone comfortable with manual handling and warehouse operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Manual handling, loading and unloading of bathroom products fragile goods (including toilets, bathtubs, vanities, basins and glass made products)
* Assisting with receiving goods and quantity checks
* Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
* Assisting drivers with loading and unloading
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
* Supporting stock checks and returns when required
* Assisting with container unloading and periodic stocktake
Requirements
Essential
* Valid Australian work rights
* Physically capable of regular heavy lifting over 50kg, including container unloading, using correct manual handling procedures
* Comfortable working in a physically demanding, labour-intensive warehouse environment
* High level of physical stamina and flexibility to perform manual tasks throughout the shift
* Reliable and punctual, with the ability to consistently attend scheduled shifts
* Available to work 3 consistent days per week
* Basic English communication skills for workplace instructions and safety
* Willing to comply with workplace safety and fire prevention rules, including:
* No smoking during working hours or within warehouse areas, due to cardboard packaging and flammable materials
* Successful applicants must be able to obtain a current National Police Check for employment purposes
Desirable – but not essential
* Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or manual labour roles
* Valid Australian Driver license
* Basic understanding of warehouse organisation, racking and labelling
* Experience with picking, packing and dispatch processes
* Familiarity with workplace safety and WHS requirements
* Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
