Overview
The DPU team cares for day admitted patients for procedures across gastroenterology, Cardiology, Radiology, Infusions, respiratory and Endocrine specialties. It is a busy unit and the successful applicant will work within a multidisciplinary team.
The Role
Direct patient care within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife to achieve planned patient outcomes.
You will need
* Sound knowledge and skills in nursing care, gastroenterology procedures and practices
* Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team – excellent communication and organisation skills
* Previous experience in a day procedure environment would be preferred
Details of appointment
* Permanent, part time, day worker position, up to 16 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us.
* Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $73,109 to $80,524 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type (may be available).

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)
