Join a new team with big impact Contribute to building a new, centralised procurement hub with the opportunity to share ideas Flexible working environment – 3 days on campus, with hybrid arrangements supported The Role We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Procurement Hub Officer to join the newly established Procurement Hub within the Infrastructure and Facilities Services (IFS) team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that supports the end-to-end procurement function for property, maintenance, and infrastructure-related expenditure—guiding University purchasing decisions and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. Your day-to-day will involve: Coordinating and managing sourcing and quotation processes in line with University policies Advising IFS teams on procurement procedures, compliance, and governance Raising and managing purchase orders and supplier contract records within Technology One and eProcure Liaising with suppliers, stakeholders, and finance to ensure timely and accurate transactions Supporting invoice processing, records management, and system data entry Monitoring risk and conflict of interest issues, escalating as required Contributing to analytics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives within the hub What we’re looking for: Experience in procurement or purchasing functions, with sound knowledge of quotation and purchase order processes Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to triage high-volume workloads A proactive, approachable communicator who provides great customer service Confidence navigating procurement systems (e.g. TechnologyOne, eProcure) Understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks This continuing position is full time at a HEW 6 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training. Experience with managing purchase requisitions and orders within a finance system. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and open communication. Demonstrated experience of interpreting and applying policies and procedures and working collaboratively with central teams to deliver positive outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to participate in a team environment demonstrating clear communication and mutual respect. Ability to embrace change in response to new initiatives, strategic direction or external requirements. Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture.
