Finance and Payroll Manager – Wimmera Lutheran College

Horsham, VIC | Permanent Role | 0.8 – 1.0 FTE

Latitude Recruitment is pleased to be working with Wimmera Lutheran College to recruit their next Finance and Payroll Manager.

About the Role

As the Finance and Payroll Manager, you will report to the Director of Business Services and oversee the College's financial and payroll functions. You will lead a small finance team, ensuring effective financial management, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management:

* Administer fortnightly payroll, salary packaging, and staff entitlements
* Ensure compliance with awards, agreements, and statutory requirements
* Conduct payroll audits and provide training to staff on payroll processes

Financial Management:

* Prepare annual budgets, financial statements, and reports for the College Board
* Monitor performance against budgets and provide timely financial advice
* Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and government funding requirements
* Manage asset registers, cash flow, and procurement processes
* Liaise with administration, IT, and property management teams to ensure effective support of College operations

About You

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

* Tertiary qualification in accounting
* Membership or eligibility for membership of IPA, CA, CPA, or ICB
* At least 5 years of relevant experience, including hands-on payroll management
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

* Great communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts clearly
