We are seeking a friendly and approachable individual to join our team as a Visitor Centre Ambassador.
About the Program
The Visitor Centre is situated at 796 Main Road, McLaren Vale, and serves as the primary point of contact for visitors to the Fleurieu Peninsula. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that visitors have an enjoyable and memorable experience in our region.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer Service: Provide a professional and welcoming environment for all visitors, responding to their inquiries and needs in a prompt and efficient manner.
* Information Provision: Offer accurate and up-to-date information about local attractions, venues, and community services, as well as provide directions and recommendations to enhance visitors' experiences.
* Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping, to ensure the smooth operation of the Visitor Centre.
* Continuous Learning: Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to expand your knowledge of the local area and improve your skills in areas such as customer service and communication.
* Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives, maintaining a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements and Skills
* Customer Service Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
* Local Knowledge: General knowledge of tourist attractions, venues, and community services in McLaren Vale and the Fleurieu Coast.
* Computer Literacy: Proficient in computer, internet, and typing skills, with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
* DIRECTION SKILLS: Ability to provide accurate and clear directions, both verbally and in writing.
* PASSION FOR TOURISM: Genuine interest in tourism and a deep passion for the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast region.
* TEAMWORK AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Positive and committed attitude, with the ability to work collaboratively as a team member and communicate effectively with colleagues and visitors.
