Job Description
* Prepare customs clearance declarations for submission to customs, ensuring compliance with national regulations and company policies.
* Classify and value import and export products accurately for customs clearance.
* Update system databases with relevant information promptly and accurately.
* Ensure shipments are cleared within specified timeframes, meeting Key Performance Indicators.
* Liaise professionally and cordially with internal and external customers.
* Respond to queries in a timely manner following standard operational procedures.
* Complete designated training within specified timeframes.
* Assist with transport operations, including booking deliveries, billing, and accounting.
* Perform tasks as requested, including assisting in general brokerage operations.
* Handle all aspects of the role under the supervision of the Brokerage Manager.
Qualifications
* Australian Customs Brokers License or within 12 months of application.
* Knowledge of government regulations.
* Understanding of standard operational procedures for customs import operations.
* Experience with ICS and third-party systems.
* Good geographical knowledge.
* Accounting knowledge.
* Understanding of international freight shipping terms.
* Alignment with Expeditors attributes and culture.
* Basic mathematical skills, including exchange rates, foreign currency, and general ledger management.
* Comprehensive understanding of the movement of goods.
* Knowledge of road transport operations.
