Job Title: Paralegal
This permanent part-time role is based at the Melton Civic Centre and involves providing confidential administrative legal support services to the Legal Team.
* Maintain accurate records, prepare correspondence and legal documentation, answer incoming subpoenas, and administer legal services requests.
* Process Legal Services and Freedom of Information requests, making decisions in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982, Professional Standards, and Council's Freedom of Information Procedure.
* Provide input into policy development and prepare, maintain, and implement procedures as required.
* Undertake legal research and analysis on various issues and prepare case summaries as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in legal administration or substantial experience in a paralegal role highly desirable.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage time, including setting priorities, planning, and organising your own work to complete assigned tasks within specified deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
