Responsibilities Setting up scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings to prepare work areas.Preparing surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling cracks, sanding, sealing, and smoothing surfaces.Mixing paints and other coatings to achieve required colours and textures.Applying paints, varnishes, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.Hanging wallpaper, aligning patterns, and trimming edges neatly.Cleaning and maintaining painting tools, equipment, and work areas.Carrying out minor repairs such as restoring wooden frames, replacing glass panels, or repairing wall and floor surfaces when required.
Qualifications 1-2 years of relevant painting experience.Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.Strong eye for detail and commitment to high-quality finishes.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow company standards.
