Electrical Inspector
The Department of Professional and Financial Regulation is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Inspector to join our team. As an Electrical Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that electrical installations in Maine comply with laws, rules, standards, and the National Electrical Code.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect electrical installations for compliance with laws, rules, standards, and the National Electrical Code
* Conduct investigations of complaints filed with the Electricians' Examining Board
* Advise and instruct electricians licensed in Maine as to the correct use and implementation of state laws and national codes
* Coordinate travel arrangements to inspection sites, which may involve reimbursable overnight stays
Requirements:
* Possession of a Maine Master Electrician's License
* Licensed as a Master Electrician in Maine
* Familiarity with state laws and national standards pertaining to the regulation of electrical installations in Maine
* Understanding of the National Electrical Code
* Experience using computer-based word processor and spreadsheet programs
