Due to an internal promotion, Burbank is seeking an experienced Sales Estimator to bring precision, insight, and expertise to our dynamic team.
About The Role
This is a high-impact role for an estimator with a solid foundation in residential building and a passion for commercial accuracy.
You'll play a pivotal part in shaping our tendering and pricing strategies, working closely with Sales, Design, and Operations to deliver robust, market-aligned costings.
Your expertise will help drive smarter decisions, improve margins, and enhance customer satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the preparation of tender documents and variations with clarity and precision
Develop detailed retail cost estimates, applying strategic margins and markups
Provide fixed site costs and expert support to Sales teams on pricing queries
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including drafters, engineers, and construction managers
Interpret architectural and engineering plans to assess buildability and cost impact
Analyse documentation to accurately estimate materials, labour, and site conditions
Evaluate design changes and their commercial implications
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to operational efficiency
What You'll Bring
2+ years' experience in residential construction estimating or a related field
Strong technical knowledge of building practices, terminology, and compliance standards
Proven ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications
High-level analytical skills and commercial acumen
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proficiency in estimating software and Excel; exposure to ERP systems a plus
A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
