Title:DG BOSS: Cook/Food HandlerServes meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients; and maintaining a sanitary kitchen.Prepares ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste; and plating meals.Completes hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.Assisting 2nd cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Basic QualificationsExcellent customer service skills and ability to deal with a variety of restaurant/dining facilities patrons.Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, cleaning, and maintenance.Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.Knowledge of food service lines set-up and temperature requirements.Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.Must have valid and obtain a valid Driver's License with Restriction Code (at least 2)Preferred QualificationsJOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAININGFood Sanitation TrainingServ Safe Food Safety TrainingServ Safe Food Handler TrainingStar Service TrainingEDUCATION:Must be at least high school or technical school graduate.Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or any equivalent is preferred.EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 5-years' experience as Cook or 2nd Cook for the U.S. Military Installation or with American owned companies and/or equivalent civilian experience.
