Hospitality Services Assistants are multi-skilled employees who provide excellent service across housekeeping, cleaning and food service to rooms and dining rooms at our residential aged care homes. This role offers an excellent chance for enthusiastic and energetic individuals looking to make every moment matter by bringing respect, compassion, integrity and enhancing the wellbeing of our residents and consumers.
Currently we are recruiting for casual vacancies at Jesmond Grove. Shift times are approx 6:30am - 2:00pm & 2:00pm - 7:30pm Monday - Sunday.
Disclosure: Anglican Care is currently transitioning to an external catering provider across their organisation specifically for meal service. Jesmond Grove is expected to transition in July.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring our consumers are provided with meals and beverages of their choice.
* Ensuring all designated areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
* Communicating effectively to consumers and team members to ensure achievement of role is attained.
* Follow all protected work practices and food handling practices.
Qualifications
* Previous food handling and /or housekeeping experience.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to work effectively as an individual and within a team.
* Demonstrated customer service skills.
* Willing to undertake pre employment checks including Functional assessment, reference checking and National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes).
* You must have the right to work in Australia_.
