About Our Mine
Cannington is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, it boasts an underground mine and processing facility.
The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.
About the Role
This is a permanent position on an 8:6 roster, FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires to our Cannington Operation.
As a Mobile Reliability Engineer, you will drive reliability improvements and defect elimination for underground fleets (Haul Trucks, Loaders, Drills, etc.), with a strong focus on life cycle cost management.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
* Developing and implementing strategies to improve mobile fleets reliability and performance.
* Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations.
* Identify process gaps and/or improvements that will sustain best reliability practices.
* Develop, implement, maintenance strategies to ensure balance between costs, risks, and performance of mobile assets.
About You
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
* Experience working in a similar role within Mining or Heavy Industries.
* Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
* Highly skilled in the use of qualitative reliability techniques.
* Proactive in identifying and resolving problems and/or improvement opportunities.
* Proficient in the use of SAP.
Qualifications for this position are:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field).
