* Prepare, cook, and present authentic Nepali dishes to a high standard (curries, momo, thukpa/chowmein, rice dishes, starters, sauces, chutneys, etc.)
* Oversee all restaurant food operations, ensuring high-quality, authentic Nepali cuisine is prepared and served daily.
* Prepare and cook a wide variety of Nepali dishes, including momos, curries, dal-bhat, tandoori items, and desserts.
* Maintain and uphold food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to plan menus, source ingredients, and manage inventory.
* Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring consistent quality and service standards.
* Manage food costs, waste reduction, and sustainable practices.
* Prepare and present dishes in an appealing and authentic manner, adhering to Nepali culinary traditions.
* Adapt recipes and menus to accommodate dietary preferences and special requests.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow.
* Participate in special events, cultural nights, and promotions, preparing unique Nepali dishes as needed.
* Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment while delivering outstanding culinary experiences.
Skills & Experience (Required)
* 2–5 years proven experience as a Chef/Cook specialising in Nepali cuisine
Qualifications (Preferred / Advantage)
* Relevant commercial cookery qualification (preferred but not essential with strong experience)
* Food safety knowledge/experience in a commercial kitchen environment
