We are seeking a kind, friendly Volunteer Visitor to spend time with David, an older gentleman who would greatly benefit from regular companionship. David is a very chatty man who truly enjoys connecting with others. He has a great love of conversation and enjoys talking about his favourite TV shows and his football team.
Time spend with David would be likely filled with meaningful chats, laughter, and a genuine sense of connection. It would be great to find David a volunteer to visit him once a fortnight.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) supports isolated and lonely people who are receiving aged care services in an aged care home or through a home care package.
The program encourages volunteers to provide friendship and companionship to older people on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
