About the RoleThe waste operation teams provide a wide range of services including general waste, recycling, bulk and illegal dumping collections. There are four teams delivering the above services to our community from Two Rocks to Girrawheen/Koondoola. You will be required to operate a range of plant and equipment and provide advice to the public in relation to waste services.
You will be expected to work most Public Holidays and also work some overtime. The role provides for four weeks annual leave. Work conditions include 5.50am start and a 9 day fortnight.
About you We are seeking enthusiastic Waste Operators with knowledge or relevant experience in the safe operation and maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment, and knowledge and experience in the use of information systems, technology and GPS. A HR drivers licence is essential. Skid steer experience would be an advantage.
The position is suited to someone who enjoys varied working tasks and is community and customer service focused.
Safety is an important aspect of this position when operating and maintaining plant and other equipment such as trucks, skid steers and side arm truck operations.
