Located in the dynamic harbour city of Gladstone, this 70-bed facility provides a wide range of acute, community and specialist services — including emergency, surgery, maternity, coronary care, palliative care and allied health. Working alongside a co-located private hospital, our teams are united by a shared commitment to excellence, compassion and improving health outcomes for the Gladstone region.
About the role:
* Deliver high-quality exercise physiology services as part of a multidisciplinary cardiac rehabilitation and heart failure program.
* Conduct assessments, prescribe and supervise exercise programs tailored to patient needs, particularly for cardiac, elderly and complex cases.
* Develop, implement and evaluate individual and group-based education and treatment programs.
* Apply professional judgement to clinical decision-making under appropriate supervision.
* Maintain accurate records and report on service activity and outcomes in line with legal and professional standards.
* Contribute to quality improvement, safety and innovation across service delivery.
About you:
* You hold a tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or Human Movement Studies and are accredited (or eligible) with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
* You demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in exercise testing, prescription and program evaluation.
* You're confident in supervising exercise sessions for diverse and complex populations with chronic conditions.
* You bring strong communication and teamwork skills, contributing positively to a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
* You value professional development, evidence-based practice and continuous learning.

What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $66,284 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $ $58.59 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* 17.5% leave loading
*Casual positions attract an hourly rate of $ $86.94 p.h. (includes 25% casual loading) and 12.75% employer super contribution.
