Project Manager IT - Mergers and Acquisitions
About the Role:
This position is responsible for leading and managing IT integration projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. The successful candidate will ensure that all IT aspects of M&A activities are executed efficiently, aligning with the strategic objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop comprehensive project plans for IT integration activities, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
* Lead project teams to deliver on project objectives, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, finance, legal, and business units, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
* Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
* Conduct IT due diligence to assess the technology landscape of target companies, identifying potential risks and integration challenges.
* Evaluate existing IT systems, infrastructure, and processes to determine compatibility and integration requirements.
* Oversee the execution of IT integration plans, including system migrations, data transfers, and process harmonization.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies during integration activities.
Technical Competencies:
* A strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and applications.
* Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project).
* Experience with IT due diligence and integration in M&A contexts.
* Knowledge of data migration, system integration, and change management processes.
* Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data security standards.
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
* PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on M&A activities.
* A proven track record of successfully managing complex IT integration projects.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
