About the Role
You'll report to the Head of Sales (eCommerce) and join a tight-knit team of BDMs focused on growing our footprint in Australia's cross-border shipping space. With a strong existing base and plenty of runway ahead, you'll spend the majority of your time out in the market winning new business — shoulder-to-shoulder with clients that ship internationally.
This role is ~60% new business development (prospecting, cold outreach, door-stepping, pitching) and ~40% managing existing relationships to identify cross-sell and growth opportunities. This is real field sales — expect phone, face-to-face meetings, emails, networking and pipeline action.
What You'll Do
* Generate new business opportunities through cold calls, emails and networking.
* Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline — you own your outcomes.
* Sell freight solutions and international logistics services to small-medium eCommerce clients.
* Attend in-market meetings, presentations and follow-ups with prospective customers.
* Collaborate with operations, customer service, billing and finance teams to drive a seamless onboarding and delivery experience.
* Help shape the territory strategy and provide market feedback.
About You
* Freight/Logistics background – experience in B2C freight/freight-forwarding; eCommerce shipping exposure highly regarded.
* A true hunter, driven by results and excited to win new logos.
* Existing network of industry contacts would be a big plus.
* Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
* Energetic, hands-on and adaptable — able to pivot and problem solve in an evolving market.
